The pinshots on 10 were won by Wayne Miller, no 12 by Noel Rogers and no 15 and 17 by Greg Anderson.

These were brilliant shots by Greg, with one metre from the hole on 15 and 1.5 metres on 17. Winner Ron Booker received the perpetual trophy.

A great field of 39 players teed off in round two of the Saturday series proudly sponsored by Jason and Jenna Mihill of Farm and Construction Projects.

The winners of the Ambrose with a brilliant 12 under par 58 were Jacob Gibbs, Jordan Price, Ryan Aspinall and Tim Eversham.

They also had an eagle 3 on hole 16.

On Sunday 33 members and visitors teed off in very warm conditions in a single stableford.

The winner was future champion Ryley Parter with 39 points.

Runner up was Lewis Woods on 38 points.

Pinshots were shared around for both men and ladies.

Last Saturday was the start of the playing season for junior golfers.

There was a fantastic turnout of 41 juniors plus supporting mums, dads, grandparents and siblings.

It was a wonderful sight to see the interest in this great game.

I hope all who started playing for the first time get as much enjoyment and sense of achievement that I have since I started as a junior in 1970 at this club.

This Saturday is round three of the Farm and Construction Products series, a single stableford.

Sunday is a 4BBB stableford.
