Queensland motorcyclists Ride for a Cause last October
THE Emerald Junior Motorcycle Club and Blackwater Junior Motorcycle Club held fundraising Ride for a Cause club days over October 10 and 11.
These events were supporting the
local Anglicare CQ and future Headspace offices with their mental health and
awareness services and supporting local families in their times of need.
Last year, when the Emerald Junior Motorcycle Club hosted their first Ride for a Cause event and donated over $500 to the cause.
Anglicare CQ were able to support 50 young people in their Conversations for Life suicide prevention programs.
This year at the Blackwater and Emerald events, the event saw an approximate of 87 riders across 120 nominations, with riders and their families travelling from as far as Mount Isa, Mackay, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Roma, Clermont, and Hervey Bay to support the cause.
We saw lots of local support from riding families as well as Pro Riders Levi Rogers from Blackwater and Joel Evans from Hervey Bay.
Both clubs wish to thank all those involved in organising and attending race days – as well as the many local and regional individuals and businesses who sponsored the event.
