Kicking up the dust
The Emerald Motorsport Association got together for their annual Grass and the Furious event.

A LOCAL club has held one of their first events of the year, revving their engines to kick into gear for the start of the season.
Emerald Motorsports Association Inc hosted their club day, which was open to non-club members and spectators.
The event, known as Grass n the Furious, took place Sunday March 7.
Emerald Motorsports Association President Andrew Atkinson said the club day went well given the heat.
“Dust was a little bit of an issue, but with the drought that’s unavoidable,” Mr Atkinson said.
“It was a good, easy event with no real issues.
“Everyone that attended seemed very happy and wanted more.”
Mr Atkinson said Emerald Radiator Works helped out by sponsoring the event.
“A big thanks must go out to them as without the support of local businesses we can’t hold events like these,” he said.
“They have supported us from the very beginning, which is a great help as being a non-for-profit club, we struggle like any small group would.
“We’re still looking for tenure but have been massively helped out by those who have agreed to let us hold events like these.”
