Capricorn Highway blocked from truck rollover

A number of cattle are believed to still be trapped inside the overturned rear trailer

HGIHWAY BLOCKED: The Capricorn Highway at the Gogango Ranges near Duaringa is blocked in both directions following a B-double truck rollover this afternoon.

Police are on the scene of a fully loaded B-double cattle truck rollover on the Capricorn Highway near the Gogango Range outside of Duaringa.

The truck driver is safely out of the truck with no reported injuries with a number of cattle believed to still be trapped in the overturned rear trailer and loose in the surrounding area.

The highway is blocked in both directions on the eastern side of the range.

Tow trucks are on scene and in the process of uprighting and removing the tipped trailer.

It is estimated the highway will be cleared and opened to traffic within the next 4-6 hours with most traffic self-diverting around the accident via the Dululu and Baralaba turnoffs.

At 12.51pm police received the callout and information advising them of the truck rollover.
